This 1981 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 is finished in silver over blue with a black soft top and is powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 13″ Cromodora wheels, a luggage rack, four-wheel disc brakes, a heater, and a Blaupunkt Toronto head unit with Bluetooth connectivity. The car spent time in Virginia and Missouri before being acquired by the seller in Kansas in 2020. Mechanical refurbishment in 2018 included refreshes of the brakes, suspension, engine, and transmission. This 124 Spider shows 42k miles and is offered with an owner’s manual, a blue vinyl convertible top boot, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kansas title in the seller’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed body left the factory finished in Grigio Metalizzato (678/F) and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. The black soft top can be viewed in its raised position in the image gallery below, and brightwork includes chrome bumpers with rubber impact strips, headlight trim, door handles, window surrounds, and a luggage rack.

Cromodora 13″ wheels wear Duro DP3000 tires that were mounted in late 2018. Additional work at this time included overhauling the brakes with new rotors and pads as well as a replacement master cylinder, calipers, and stainless-steel brake hoses. The suspension was refreshed with replacement bushings and ball joints, and the wheel bearings were replaced.

The cabin features blue upholstery on the seats and door panels along with matching carpets and plastics. Other amenities include a wood dashboard, a heater, a Blaupunkt Toronto stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, and aftermarket speakers.

The three-spoke Ferrero steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including an 85-mph speedometer and tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles, a handful of which were added by the seller.

The Lampredi 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four is equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 102 horsepower. The cylinder head was rebuilt and the engine was resealed in late 2018 as part of approximately $19k in work performed under previous ownership by the seller’s shop, and which can be viewed in the receipts in the gallery. Other work included refreshments of the fuel and ignition systems as well as replacement of the timing belt and tensioner, engine mounts, and water pump.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement five-speed manual transmission, which was installed during the aforementioned work along with a replacement clutch and rebuilt differential. Corrosion is visible on underside components, and additional photos of the underbody are available in the gallery.

An owner’s manual and blue vinyl convertible top boot are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Virginia, Missouri, and Kansas beginning in 1990.
