This Fiat 124 Spider (1966-1985) got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1981 Fiat Spider 2000 was acquired by the current owner on BaT in March 2021, and it now shows 20k miles. The car is finished in silver over blue vinyl upholstery, and it is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes 15″ eight-spoke wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a replacement black soft top, a wood-rimmed NRG steering wheel, an AM/FM stereo, and a heater. This Spider 2000 is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title.

The car is finished in silver, and the folding black convertible soft top was replaced in November 2020, according to the selling dealer. Additional features include a driver-side mirror, a “2000” badge, and chrome bumpers and trims. Exterior badges are said to have been replaced. The 15″ eight-spoke wheels wear Yokohama Advan Fleva tires that were reportedly mounted in September 2020. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension with a sway bar and coil springs as well as worm-and-roller gear steering. Stopping power is handled by discs at all four corners.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench upholstered in blue vinyl, and interior appointments include woodgrain dashboard trim, an AM/FM stereo, and a heater. The carpets are said to have been replaced and the door handles and additional interior trim pieces have been painted black.

The wood-rimmed NRG steering wheel fronts Veglia Borletti instrumentation consisting of an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.0-liter inline-four was factory rated at 102 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer states the battery and blower motor were replaced in 2020. A fluid leak is visible.

A set of four 13″ Speedline wheels mounted with Nankang tires along with an uninstalled steering wheel are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Minnesota beginning in August 1987.
