This 1982 Renault Fuego Turbo is finished in white over tan leather upholstery and powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a power-operated fabric sunroof, Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection, an AM/FM cassette stereo, power windows, and metric alloy wheels. The car was acquired by the seller in 2022, and subsequent work is said to have included replacing the ignition coil as well as the distributor cap and rotor. This Fuego is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a handwritten service log, a spare window switch, a clean Carfax report, and Maine registration in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in white with gray lower bodywork and black striated accents on the fenders, quarter panels, and tail panel. Additional exterior details include a power-operated sliding fabric sunroof, sealed-beam headlights, dual mirrors, recessed door handles, a rear wiper, and “Turbo” logotype on the rocker panels and wraparound glass hatch. The seller notes that the sunroof operates slowly, and paint chips and blemishes around the car are shown up close in the gallery.
Four-spoke 365mm alloy wheels are mounted with older Michelin TRX tires that the seller recommends replacing due to age. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front and drums out back.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a folding rear bench upholstered in tan leather, joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Additional appointments include power windows, a Renault-branded AM/FM cassette stereo, and rubber floor mats. The seller notes that the power windows operate slowly, and the left-side switch for the right window does not function. The power door locks operate only from the exterior. Plastic trim pieces around the front seat release levers are broken, and damage on the driver’s seat upholstery can be viewed in the gallery along with wear on the rear seatback and cargo area carpet.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts an inoperative 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges, while a boost gauge is located in the center stack. The tachometer does not operate below 1,000 rpm. The six-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added under current ownership.
The turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four is equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 107 horsepower. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the ignition coil as well as the distributor cap and rotor.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. An aftermarket exhaust is fitted, and corrosion is visible on various underbody components.
An owner’s manual and maintenance guide will accompany the car along with a spare window switch and a handwritten service log dating to 2007.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Oregon and Maine from its initial entry in October 1994.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
