1983 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe 4-Speed

This 1983 Chevrolet C20 is a Fleetside Custom Deluxe pickup that has remained registered in Oklahoma since new. The truck is finished in white over tan upholstery and powered by a 305ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a spray-in bedliner, 16″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, and Auto Gage auxiliary gauges. The seller acquired the truck in July 2022, and subsequent work is said to have included replacing the rear bumper, grille, mirrors, taillights, valve cover gasket, fuel pump, thermostat, heater core, heater hose, battery, and various vacuum lines. This C20 is offered with an owner’s manual and an Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.

The truck is said to have been refinished in its current shade of white under current ownership, and further work reportedly included replacing the rear bumper, grille, side mirrors, taillights, marker lights, and windshield. Additional exterior details include a spray-in bedliner, quarter vent windows, and Custom Deluxe badging. Scuffs and scratches are noted around the body, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.

Black-finished 16″ steel wheels wear Chevrolet hubcaps and are mounted with 235/85 Fortune Tormenta A/T tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The cab features a folding bench seat wearing replacement tan upholstery accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Additional appointments include storage pockets behind the seat back, a rubber floor covering, and manual crank windows. The door and window seals are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge as well as supplementary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. Additional Auto Gage oil-pressure and water-temperature gauges are mounted beneath the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 150 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 305ci V8 features a single carburetor. The valve cover gasket, fuel pump, thermostat, heater core, heater hose, battery, and various vacuum lines are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale in addition to a coolant flush. The seller notes a leak from the passenger-side valve cover after driving at high speed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The transmission and differential fluid were changed in preparation for the sale. Corrosion is present on underside components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Oklahoma. There is a gap in entries between 1983 and 2002.
