Original-Owner 1983 Chevrolet C20 Suburban Silverado

This 1983 Chevrolet C20 Suburban was initially delivered to Weseloh Chevrolet of Carlsbad, California, and was purchased new by the seller in October 1982, and it now shows 39k miles. The truck is finished in two-tone red and white over tan cloth upholstery and is powered by a replacement 454ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gearing along with a heavy-duty front stabilizer bar, cruise control, a power tailgate window, a 40-gallon fuel tank, a Clarion cassette stereo, power steering and front disc brakes. This Suburban is offered with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Connecticut title in the seller’s name.

The truck was factory-finished in Carmine Red (70) over Frost White (12) and is said to have been repainted by the dealer upon delivery due to a mismatched body panel. Features include chrome bumpers, polished trim, a receiver hitch, and a power-operated tailgate window. Imperfections include damage to the rear lower wheel well, rock chips on the front of the truck, a crack in the windshield and left passenger window, and a dent in the rear tailgate.

White 16″ steel wheels are fitted with Chevrolet hubcaps and wear 235/85 Wild Trail Commercial L/T tires, and a full-size spare is mounted in the cargo area. The truck is equipped with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes along with a heavy-duty front stabilizer bar. Two rear wheel cylinders were replaced and the brake fluid was flushed in October 2022. Corrosion on the wheels can be seen in the gallery.

The cabin features two rows of bench seating upholstered in Medium Almond cloth along with a two-tone dashboard. All-season floor mats line the footwells, and other amenities include vent windows, cruise control, a Clarion cassette stereo, and power-operated windows and door locks. The seller states the headliner was replaced during current ownership. Stains are present on the cabin and cargo area carpets, and the air conditioning does not blow cold.

A tilt-adjustable two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges. The mechanical odometer shows 39k miles, all of which were added during current ownership. The gear needle indicator inside the instrument cluster is missing.

The replacement 454ci V8 was installed at 23k miles in 1992 and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gearing. An oil change and coolant flush were completed in preparation for the sale.

The truck was optioned with a 40-gallon fuel tank and the Heavy-Duty Trailering Equipment Package. Corrosion is noted on the underbody components.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Weseloh Chevrolet of Carlsbad, California, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total amount of $17,324.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Connecticut from the first entry in 2003.
