This Ford Fox-Body Mustang got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1983 Ford Mustang GT was reportedly purchased new at Jernigan Ford in Thomson, Georgia and acquired by the seller in 2018. The car has been refinished in red and reupholstered in black leather with red contrast stitching. Its 302ci V8 is paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and the odometer shows just under 44k miles. Modifications include auxiliary oil-pressure and water-temperature gauges and 16″ TRX-style wheels that were replaced under current ownership. This Fox-body GT is now offered in Atlanta, Georgia with a 1983 dealer invoice, a Deluxe Marti report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The exterior reportedly was refinished in the factory Bright Red with black striping under prior ownership due to failure of the factory clearcoat.
Factory TRX wheels and 20-year-old metric tires are said to have been replaced by the seller with 16″ TRX-style wheels and 225/55 Ohtsu FP7000 tires.
The interior features reupholstered black leather seats with red contrast stitching. Other modifications include aftermarket gauges in the center console that replace the factory digital clock and monitor oil pressure and water temperature. This Mustang is also equipped with factory options such as air conditioning, a rear defroster, power windows and locks, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and cruise control.
The five-digit odometer shows just under 44k miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the seller.
The 4,942cc V8 was factory rated at 175 horsepower when new and is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the oil and filter were changed in September 2019.
