1983 Land Rover 110 5-Speed

This 1983 Land Rover 110 is a left-hand-drive, two-door hardtop that spent time in Holland before it was imported to the US from Great Britain in January 2021. Power is provided by a gasoline-powered 2.3L inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and equipment includes gray upholstery, a front bull bar, a snorkel intake, a roof rack, and brush guards. The current owner acquired the truck in July 2021, and subsequent service included installation of Bilstein front shocks, an oil change, and replacement of the fuel pump, thermostat, and multiple gaskets and seals. This Defender 110 is now offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner with import documentation, service records, and a clean Arizona title.

The seller believes that the two-door body was repainted in its current shade of white during prior ownership. Features include a front bull bar, a snorkel intake, fog lights, and diamond plate trim on the hood, front fenders, rocker panels, and rear quarter panels. Additional equipment includes a roof rack, a rear-facing spotlight, a rear step, a ladder, and brush guards. The condition of the paint and trim can be seen close up in the image gallery below.

Black-finished 16″ wheels wear 285/75 Toyo Open Country M/T tires, and a matching spare wheel and tire are mounted out back on a swing-out carrier. Work in March 2021 included adjusting the front wheel bearings and rear drums as well as replacement of the shocks and radius arm bushings.

The interior features front seating for three trimmed in patterned gray cloth and as well as troop-style rear bench seating. Rubber mats line the floor panels, and a series of toggle switches have been fitted below the Grundig CD player.

Replacement instrumentation consists of a 150-km/h speedometer, a bank of warning lights, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 214k kilometers (~133k miles), approximately 1,500 of which were added by the current owner. True mileage is unknown.

The gasoline-powered 2.3L inline-four is equipped with a single carburetor and an electric fuel pump, and sends power to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case with a locking center differential. Work completed in 2021 included an oil change and replacement of the thermostat as well as gasket replacements for the cylinder head, valve cover, intake manifold, and intake and exhaust valve stems.
