This Mazda RX-7 FB got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1983 Mazda RX-7 GSL is finished in Havana Brown Metallic over tan leather and is powered by a 1.1-liter 12A rotary paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Features include a limited-slip differential, a sunroof, 13″ four-spoke alloy wheels, disc brakes, a cassette stereo, power windows, cruise control, and air conditioning. The seller purchased the car in 2019, reportedly from the second owner, and the air conditioning system was recharged by the seller in preparation for the sale. This RX-7 shows 77k miles and is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, partial service records, a car cover, a spare sunroof panel, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Havana Brown Metallic and features a sunroof, pop-up headlights, a rear window wiper, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a power antenna. The Carfax report shows the vehicle was inspected following an accident or other incident in March 2003 and notes damage to the right front. Paint chips are visible on the front body panels, and additional blemishes along the body are shown up close in the photo gallery.
The 13″ four-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 185/70 Kumho Solus TA11 tires showing 2017 date codes. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features seats upholstered in tan leather. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, power windows, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.1-liter 12A Wankel rotary was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 100 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque. The oil pan gasket was replaced in 2019, and the air conditioning system was recharged in June 2023.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A coating was applied to the underbody in 2020. Corrosion is present on underside components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
A removable sunroof panel and storage bag are included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a car cover, carpeted floor mats, and a Mazda RX-7-branded front end cover.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage report in 2003 and lists history in Ohio, Florida, and New York from the first entry in 1999. A gap in entries is present between 2006 and 2017.
The car is not currently registered.
