This 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is a 25th Anniversary Daytona 500 Pace Car Edition example. It is finished in two-tone white and gray over Medium Sand Gray leather and suede upholstery and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes pace car graphics, removable glass roof panels, pop-up headlights, a rear spoiler, 16″ cast aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Recaro front bucket seats, a cassette stereo, and air conditioning. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2024 following history in New York, Vermont, and Florida, and it now shows 27k miles. This Firebird Trans Am is being offered in Florida at no reserve with a roof panel storage bag, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
All 25th Anniversary Daytona 500 Pace Car examples were finished in white with gray metallic lower body panels, and model-specific features include pace car graphics, a front lip spoiler, extended rocker panels, a rear apron, and a rear spoiler. Additional exterior equipment includes removable T-top panels, a front air dam, hood dome graphics, body-color mirror caps, pop-up headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. Rear windshield louvers are included in the sale.
The 16″ Hi-tech turbo cast aluminum wheels are mounted with 215/55 front and 225/55 rear Falken Ziex tires showing date codes from 2014. The car came equipped from the factory with power steering as well as an independent front suspension with MacPherson struts, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted discs at all four corners.
The cabin features Recaro front sport seats upholstered in Medium Sand Gray leather with synthetic suede inserts. Gray carpets are protected by 25th Anniversary Daytona 500 floor mats, and additional appointments include air conditioning, a cassette stereo, an overhead console, and power windows and locks. Corrosion is seen on the bottom of the right door and the driver’s seat outer bolsters are worn.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles.
The 5.0-liter Cross-Fire Injection V8 was factory rated at 175 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is seen on underside surfaces.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage, beginning with the first entry in 1989 and a gap until 2004.
