This 1983 Porsche 928S is finished in Quartz Grey Metallic over brown leather and powered by a 4.7-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes 17″ alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, front and rear spoilers, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a sunroof. The car was reportedly first sold in Germany before being imported to the US in 1985 and later spent time in Pennsylvania, where it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2016. This 928S is offered with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car left the factory finished in Quartz Grey Metallic (662/X5) and features body-color side moldings as well as front and rear spoilers. Additional exterior equipment includes a power-operated sunroof, a rear windshield wiper, pop-up headlights, and integrated front fog lights. The selling dealer notes evidence of paintwork on the left quarter panel and reports scratches and paint chips on the bumpers and wheel wells.
Staggered-width 17″ alloy wheels wear Fikse center caps and are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires that were reportedly mounted in 2020. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats and individual rear seats upholstered in brown leather with matching plastics as well as carpets protected by 928S-branded floor mats. Additional equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo does not work, and the selling dealer states that the rear hatch panels have shrunk.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges showing coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the selling dealer. The Carfax report shows a mileage inconsistency in August 2010, and true mileage is unknown.
The all-aluminum 4.7-liter M28/19 V8 was factory rated at 234 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer states that the timing belt was last replaced in 2010.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rear-mounted five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned August 2010 mileage inconsistency and no accidents or other damage. Registration history is listed in Pennsylvania from its first entry in May 2009.
