This Jeep CJ-7 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1984 Jeep CJ-7 was refurbished and modified under previous ownership with an exterior repaint, the addition of Bestop seats, and installation of a GM 350ci V8 mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. It was acquired by the seller in October 2021 and subsequently fitted with a GM 400ci V8 assembled by American Legends of Phoenix, Arizona, with a Dart Machinery block, Brodix Track 1 cylinder heads, UEM Icon forged pistons, and a SCAT forged crankshaft and connecting rods. A B&M shifter and Hughes Performance torque converter have also been added, and the Dana 300 dual-range transfer case features twin-stick controls. Further equipment includes WARN manually locking front hubs, 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels, a Mile Marker winch, a Pro Comp front bumper, a JCR rear bumper, and a dual exhaust system as well as a Bluetooth-capable Kicker sound system and a Bestop black soft top with removable side doors. This modified CJ-7 is now offered with an accident-free Carfax report and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The truck left the factory finished in Classic Black (P1) and was repainted metallic blue by Elite Automotive of Henderson, Nevada, as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. A Pro Comp front bumper with tow bar mounts has been fitted in addition to a JCR rear bumper with a receiver hitch. Additional details include a Bestop black soft top and removable side doors, a Mile Marker winch, KC HiLites LED headlights, Quadratec LED taillights, RotopaX jerry cans, rear auxiliary lights, a roll bar, and Rugged Ridge tubular side steps. Paint chips are visible around the body and on the rear bumper.

Polished 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels wear 33×12.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires, and a matching spare is mounted to the swing-out rear carrier. The truck is equipped with power steering, WARN manually locking front hubs, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The front leaf spring shackles have been reversed.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench from Bestop that are upholstered in gray cloth with contrasting central inserts. A B&M shifter and twin-stick transfer case controls exit from the central tunnel, and a Tuffy locking glovebox is accompanied by a locking center console and rear storage box. A Bluetooth-capable marine amplifier, speakers, and subwoofers from Kicker have also been added.

The Grant GT steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilt column and fronts an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a quartz clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report notes a potential odometer rollover in December 2015 as well as mileage inconsistencies in August 2017 and October 2021. Total mileage is unknown.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 300 dual-range transfer case with twin-stick controls. A Hughes Performance torque converter has been added, and the front and rear axles are equipped with ARB air lockers fed by an onboard air compressor and tank. The dual exhaust system features Patriot headers and Borla mufflers. Corrosion is visible on various underbody components.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned odometer rollover and mileage inconsistencies and shows no accidents or other damage. History is displayed in California, Alaska, Arizona, and Wyoming.

The dashboard tag and engine bay plate are partially illegible, and the VIN on the Arizona title—1JCCM87A5ET092788—is consistent with a 1984 Jeep CJ-7. The title carries an “exceeds mechanical limits” mileage notation.
