This Mercedes-Benz W123 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D was initially delivered in Germany, reportedly to a U.S. Diplomat, and was later imported to the US and is said to have remained in a private collection before being listed on BaT in September 2019. The car is finished in Thistle Green over an olive vinyl and velour interior and is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel inline-five mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes European-specification bumpers, headlights, front turn signal lenses, and taillights as well as 14″ alloy wheels and automatic climate control. It was acquired by the seller in 2019 and now shows 28k kilometers (~17k miles). This W123 is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Thistle Green (881U) and features bright trim, an electric sunroof, a power-adjustable right-side mirror, and European-specification bumpers, headlights, front turn signal lenses, and taillights. A blemish is visible on the trunk lid.
The 14” alloy wheels are wrapped in 195/70 Goodyear Viva 2 tires. A matching spare is stowed beneath the trunk floor. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin houses manually adjustable front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in olive vinyl and velour upholstery along with color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Wood trim accents the black dashboard, and additional amenities include automatic climate control, crank windows, and folding ash trays on the rear door panels. The cruise control, clock, and Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo are inoperative.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 200-km/h speedometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 28k kilometers (~17k miles), 20 of which were added by the seller.
The 3.0-liter diesel inline-five was factory rated at 87 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. In August 2019 a valve adjustment was performed and the battery, air filter, valve cover gasket, fuel filter, and transmission filter and fluid were replaced. An oil change was carried out, and the air conditioning system is said to have been serviced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Florida.
