This Volkswagen GTI Mk1 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI is finished in black with GTI-specific red accents over a blue cloth interior and powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional features include a front spoiler, sunroof, Blaupunkt cassette stereo, air conditioning, and a rear defroster. The car was reportedly purchased new by the seller’s stepfather in California and was recently acquired by the seller. Now showing approximately 88k miles, this GTI is being offered with previous registration cards, service records, an owner’s manual, factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Black (L041) and features impact bumpers and extended wheel arches that were exclusive to the GTI. Further GTI-specific equipment includes a front chin spoiler, red-accented grille, a rear wiper with a washer nozzle, and black window trim. Blue California license plates are mounted front and rear.

This is a re-list after the car previously sold on BaT in July 2020 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the car. The winner has been banned from future participation on BaT.
