This 1985 Ford Mustang SVO is finished in Bright Red over charcoal cloth and is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.3-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok differential. The car is 1 of 23 Competition Preparation Optioned 1985 SVO-equipped Mustangs which deleted the air-conditioning system, stereo, and power accessories. Features include 16″ alloy wheels, a bi-plane rear wing, and a roll cage. The car was recently acquired by the seller, reportedly from the original owner, and currently shows 22k miles. This Mustang SVO is now offered with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a Deluxe Marti Report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

This car is finished in Bright Red and features an SVO-specific bi-plane rear spoiler, unique front grille, a functional hood scoop, and vinyl decals on the hood and quarter panels. The driver-side quarter panel has been refinished.

Factory 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with 225/50 BFGoodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S tires. The car was factory equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and adjustable Koni dampers.

The cabin is upholstered in charcoal cloth and features articulated sport seats with perforated inserts. The Competition Preparation Option deleted the air-conditioning system, stereo system, and power windows and door locks. A roll cage, fire extinguisher, and window net have been added, and the seller states that the headliner is loose.

A leather-wrapped SVO steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 22k miles.

The turbocharged and intercooled 2.3-liter inline-four was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the oil was changed in November 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.

The Deluxe Marti Report notes that the car was ordered by Tragesser Ford Sales in Ross, Ohio, and built more than a month behind schedule on July 25, 1985.

The window sticker lists a total price of $13,729.

The Carfax report first updates in 2021 and shows no accidents or other damage.
