This Pontiac Fiero got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT was first delivered to Merit Pontiac GMC of Oakland, California, and has remained registered in the state since. It is finished in red over gray cloth and is powered by a 2.8-liter V6 paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable sunroof, a rear spoiler, silver-finished 14″ alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, power windows and locks, headrest speakers, and air conditioning. The seller purchased the car in 2019 and has since added approximately 3k of the 23k miles shown. This Fiero GT is now offered with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in red (71), and exterior features include gray lower cladding, a removable sunroof, a rear spoiler, an asymmetrical quarter-panel vent, a vented engine lid, and pop-up headlights. The seller states that the spoiler was refinished, though clear coat bubbling is noted. The decklid is misaligned, and there is a crack and scratches on the rear bumper, a scuff on a rocker panel, and stone chips on the hood, windshield, front bumper, and left side mirror. Silver-finished 14″ alloy wheels are mounted with 215/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The inner tie rod ends and front wheel seals were replaced in February 2019, and the front bearings were repacked. The front brake calipers and pads were replaced in December 2021.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in gray cloth along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include cruise control, power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, headrest speakers, and air conditioning. The headliner is sagging in places, the driver-side mirror adjuster shroud is warped, and the cassette player does not work.
The leather-wrapped tilting steering wheel fronts a 85-mph speedometer and a 6,500-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 23k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 2.8-liter L44 V6 was factory rated at 130 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque. The distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and oil pan gasket were replaced in February 2019.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. A scrape is noted on the oil pan.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Merit Pontiac GMC of Oakland, California, lists factory equipment and options, and a total amount of $13,985.10.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California from the first entry in 1996.
