1986 Ferrari 328 GTS

This 1986 Ferrari 328 is one of approximately 6,068 removable-top GTS examples produced. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige Connolly leather, and power is provided by a fuel-injected 3.2-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, concave 16″ Speedline five-spoke alloy wheels, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, a gated shifter, power windows, and air conditioning. The seller acquired the car in 2022, and a timing belt service was performed under current ownership. This 328 GTS shows 45k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, car cover, service record, a clean Carfax report and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a removable black roof panel. Additional exterior details include pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, a power antenna, a black spoiler mounted over the rear window, and quad exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance.

Staggered-width concave 16″ Speedline five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Yokohama YK580 tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted ventilated four-wheel discs. The steering rack was reportedly replaced in 2017, and the brake fluid was flushed in August 2022. The seller states that the suspension bushings will need to be replaced in the future.

The seats are trimmed in beige Connolly leather and are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior amenities include a gated shifter, power windows, air conditioning, an aftermarket stereo head unit, and a rear-window defroster. The air conditioning system was recharged with R-12 refrigerant in August 2022. The outer bolster on the driver-seat is worn.

A three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. Gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard along with an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 700 of which were added under current ownership.

The mid-mounted 3.2-liter Type F105 V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and four valves per cylinder. Factory-rated output was 270 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque. Service in August 2022 included replacing the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, coolant, fuel filter, spark plugs, belts, and assorted gaskets and seals.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transaxle oil was changed under current ownership. Damage to underside of the front storage compartment is viewable in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New York, North Carolina, Florida, and New Jersey. There is a gap in entries between August 1989 and October 1997.
