This 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E is finished in Light Ivory over Palomino MB-Tex upholstery, and it is powered by a 2.3-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, an anti-theft system, power windows, cruise control, and an Alpine cassette stereo. The car was delivered new to Aristocrat Motor Company of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and remained registered in the state until it was purchased by the seller on BaT in December 2021. This W201 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, the window sticker, service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Light Ivory (623) with black side moldings and bumper cover trim. Additional details include fog lamps, a power antenna, and an electric sunroof.
The 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted with 185/65 Michelin Energy tires that need to be replaced due to old age. A matching spare wheel is stored beneath the trunk floor.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Palomino MB-Tex along with a contrasting black dashboard. Equipment includes manually-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, central locking, an alarm system, Zebrano wood trim, power windows, and an Alpine cassette stereo.
A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 125-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. The six-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer and odometer were replaced under prior ownership and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.3-liter M102 inline-four was factory rated at 130 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. The radiator, water pump, thermostat, battery, and air conditioning compressor, expansion valve, and receiver/drier were replaced between 2016 and 2017. Work under current ownership is said to have included an oil change along with the repair of an exhaust leak and the replacement of a sensor for the auxiliary cooling fan.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. There is a fluid leak at the differential. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery.
The window sticker lists factory colors and equipment, initial delivery to Aristocrat Motor Company of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and a total suggested retail price of $26,735.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with service records and five keys.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Kansas and Texas, with gaps in entries during the periods 1986-1990 and 1990-1999. A “Not Actual Mileage” title is listed as having been issued by the state of Kansas in 2012.
