This 1986 Nissan Stanza Wagon is finished in two-tone blue paint over blue cloth upholstery and is powered by a fuel-injected 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes sliding rear side doors, air conditioning, cruise control, and an AM/FM stereo. The car has spent most of its life in California and was acquired in 2017 by the seller, who has since added approximately 1k of the 50k indicated miles. The axles, accessory drive belts, and front brake rotors and pads were replaced in December 2020, and work performed in August 2021 is said to have included refurbishing the radiator and performing an ignition system tune-up. This Stanza Wagon is now offered at no reserve with a service manual, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Blue Mist Metallic and Dark Blue Metallic two-tone paint. Features include sliding rear side doors, pop-out rear windows, bodyside moldings, front mud flaps, a rear wiper, and a locking fuel door. The Carfax report lists an October 2020 damage report with no further information provided, and the car is said to have been repainted in 2021. Photos in the gallery below show overspray on the windshield molding, a scratch on the right quarter panel, and a cracked right corner light lens.
Steel 14″ wheels wear aftermarket covers and are mounted with non-matching 195/70 tires. The front brake rotors and pads were replaced in December 2020.
The front bucket and folding rear bench seats are upholstered in blue cloth with striped inserts that extend to the door panels. Amenities include a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM stereo, and a digital clock. Loose trim on the passenger’s door and damage on the headliner are said to be present.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, a 105-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer indicates 50k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller.
The 2.0-liter CA20E inline-four is equipped with electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 105 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. The accessory drive belts were replaced in December 2020, the spark plugs and ignition cables were replaced in January 2021, and the battery was replaced in April 2021. The seller states that work performed in August 2021 included refurbishing the radiator and replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, mass airflow sensor, throttle position sensor, and vacuum hoses.
Power is delivered to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. The axles were replaced in December 2020. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
The information shown on the data plate is consistent with that found on a Stanza Wagon finished in Blue Mist Metallic and Dark Blue Metallic two-tone paint over blue cloth upholstery and powered by a fuel-injected 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows the car was designated a gross polluter by the state of California in February 2001 along with the aforementioned October 2020 damage report. The report also displays history in California from August 1993 onward.
