This Porsche 930 Turbo got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe was specified in Garnet Red Metallic over a Burgundy all-leather interior with sport seats, and it is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six linked with a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof, a tea tray rear spoiler, a Continental radio, a short-shift kit, power windows, and air conditioning. The car was acquired by the seller in June 2015, and it shows 125k miles following registration history in California and several other states. The alternator belt, spark plugs, ignition wires, and various filters and gaskets were replaced in July 2023, and an invoice from that time lists additional work recommended prior to regular use. This 930 Turbo coupe is now offered on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports UpShift Collection with a clean California title.

The car is finished in Garnet Red Metallic (L822) and features a sunroof, headlight washers, fog lights, a tea tray rear spoiler, black stone guards ahead of the rear wheels, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists “minor to moderate” damage to the front, right front, and right side of the vehicle in an October 2018 entry. The right-rear quarter panel has been refinished. The left turn signal, horns, and windshield washers do not work.

Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with older Fuzion ZRi tires that require replacement. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs. The tie rod end boots and ball joint boots are broken.

The Burgundy all-leather interior was optioned with sport seats that feature power height adjustment. Amenities include a Continental radio, and power windows. A short-shift kit has been installed. The air-conditioning compressor requires replacement, and imperfections include a tear in the driver’s seat and signs of wear on the lower-left corner of the dashboard.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 125k miles, approximately 10k of which were added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six features a 1-bar boost spring. The car most recently passed the California emissions test in January 2024. A July 2023 invoice shown in the gallery below lists compression-test readings between 110psi and 132psi in each cylinder as well as work performed at that time to address poor running condition. Work consisted of replacing the alternator belt, spark plugs, ignition wires, and various gaskets and filters. Per the invoice, remaining issues include:

  • One cylinder bank is “healthier” than the other.
  • The front fuel pump is intermittently noisy.
  • The motor mounts have collapsed.
  • The left intercooler mount is broken.
  • The distributor vacuum diaphragm is broken.
  • A misfire is noted, and one cylinder is lean at idle.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch cable cannot be adjusted, the right muffler strap is missing, and the differential chatters at takeoff. Weak transaxle synchronizer rings are noted in the July 2023 invoice shown in the gallery below.
