1987 Chevrolet V10 Silverado Stepside Pickup 4×4

This 1987 Chevrolet V10 Silverado is a half-ton 4×4 Stepside pickup that was purchased by the seller in 2021 and subsequently underwent a refurbishment that included a repaint, a mechanical tune-up, and an interior refresh. Finished in brown over Saddle Tan cloth upholstery, power is provided by a 5.7-liter TBI V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck features include Warn manually locking front hubs, 15″ Rally wheels, dual fuel tanks, a sliding rear window, a wood bed floor, a Dual media receiver, cruise control, air conditioning, a clock, and power windows and locks. This V10 Silverado is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.

During the recent refurbishment, the bed, tailgate, hood, windshield, bumpers, doors, rear fenders, and side steps were removed from the truck, repairs to the body were completed, and the exterior was sprayed in brown metallic. The windshield, weather stripping, grille, mirrors, side emblems, side markers, tailgate chains and wooden bed floor were also replaced. Features include LED headlights, Silverado trim, a Stepside bed, a sliding rear window, dual fuel tanks, and chrome bumpers.

Recently-restored 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and are mounted with 32×11.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires showing date codes from 2021. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Service since October 2022 has included packing the front wheel bearings and replacing the front hubs and brake rotors as well as the shocks and steering stabilizer.

During the recent refurbishment, the bench seat was reupholstered in Saddle Tan, and matching replacement carpet, dashboard, and door panels were installed. Interior amenities include cruise control, an analog clock, a tilting steering wheel, air conditioning, an aftermarket Dual media player, and replacement speakers. The turn signal stalk intermittently does not engage for left turns.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over and now shows 16k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 5.7-liter V8 is equipped with throttle body injection and was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Work completed since December 2021 has included converting the air conditioning to R134A and replacing the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel tank switch valve.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. An aftermarket muffler and a replacement rear exhaust section were installed in 2022 along with performing a transmission service, replacing the transfer case and rear pinion seals, and exchanging the transfer case and differential fluids.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in California and Oregon, beginning with the first entry in 1991.
