This 1987 Ford Mustang LX notchback is powered by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that has been fitted with a Procharger, intercooler, and revised fuel system components and is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission and an 8.8″ rear end with a limited-slip differential and Strange Engineering axles. The car was refinished in metallic orange, and the cabin has been fitted with black Corbeau bucket seats with five-point harnesses. The car was further modified with a dual exhaust system with long-tube headers as well as dual fuel pumps, lightweight 15″ alloy wheels, drag radial tires, high-performance unassisted disc brakes, manual rack-and-pinion steering, an adjustable suspension, a roll cage, a Sparco steering wheel, a Lokar shifter, and a Kenwood CD stereo. This notchback Mustang was acquired by the seller in January 2022 and is now offered at no reserve with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted to match Chevrolet’s Sunset Orange Metallic and features aftermarket headlights and dual exhaust outlets that exit ahead of the rear axle. The seller states that the front bumper cover was repainted in July 2023, and photos of dents and scratches are provided in the gallery below.
Silver-finished 15″ Billet Specialities wheels are mounted with 275/60 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S tires at the rear and Nexen SR-802 tires up front. The brake master cylinder was reportedly sourced from a 2003 Mustang Cobra, and stopping power is handled by PBR front and Aerospace Components rear calipers over ventilated rotors. Additional modifications include:
- Tubular K-member and A-arms
- Full-length subframe connectors
- Strange Engineering double-adjustable front coilovers
- Viking Performance double-adjustable rear shocks
- UPR adjustable rear suspension kit with an anti-roll bar with roller bearings
- Manual rack-and-pinion steering

- Summit Racing brake proportioning valve
The cabin houses bolstered front Corbeau seats trimmed in black cloth and fitted with red five-point harnesses. A six-point roll cage is installed, and other appointments include a Corbeau rear bench, a Lokar shifter, a center console and cupholders, and a Kenwood CD stereo linked to Kicker speakers mounted in the doors. The battery has been mounted in the trunk and is equipped with a remote shut-off switch.
A microsuede Sparco steering wheel features a red centering stripe and fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a central digital display flanked by a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer shows 482 miles, though total mileage is unknown. A Carfax report entry from September 2003 notes a potential odometer rollover.
The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 is fitted with a ProCharger supercharger and an air-to-air intercooler that are said to have been installed in 2022 by House of Boost of Kansas City, Missouri. Additional modifications reportedly include dual DeatschWerks fuel pumps and injectors, E85-rated fuel lines, and a Marshall fuel pressure gauge along with a billet crankshaft sprocket and oil pump gears. A dynamometer readout from June 2023 is provided in the gallery and lists an output of 789 horsepower and 592 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford-sourced 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission and an 8.8″ rear end that is fitted with a limited-slip differential, 3.73:1 gearing, a Trick Flow cover, and Strange Engineering axles. The car is equipped with a Stifflers transmission crossmember and a 3″ aluminum driveshaft. A dual exhaust system with American Racing long-tube headers, an X-pipe, and MagnaFlow mufflers has been fitted. The catalytic converters have been removed.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned potential odometer rollover, no accidents or other damage, and lists history in Kansas and Missouri.
