48k-Mile 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was originally delivered by Sport Imports in Southhampton, New York and was acquired by the selling dealer in July 2019 following time in New York, Florida, and Virginia. The car is finished in Agate Green with a dark blue soft top over a Palomino leather interior equipped with automatic climate control and a Sony CD player. Power is from a 5.5-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and service upon the selling dealer’s acquisition included replacement of the fuel pumps and conversion of the air conditioning system to use R134a refrigerant. This R107 shows 48k miles and is offered with a removable hard top, first aid kit, tool kit, a data and warranty card, a stamped service booklet, window sticker, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title.

The car is finished in Agate Green (815) and features an optional dark blue soft top as well as US-market lighting and bumpers. The selling dealer points out two dings in the rear bumper. Photos are provided to show the color-matched hard top as well as the soft top in both its raised and lowered positions.

Factory 15” Gullideckel wheels are said to have been powder-coated in September 2019 and wear 205/65 Michelin Defender tires which were installed in August 2018. The brake calipers were refurbished and new pads and rotors installed in July 2019.

The cabin is upholstered in Palomino leather, which shows wear and cracking on both seats. Wood trim accents the black upper dash and the center console. Equipment includes automatic climate control, electric windows and mirrors, a Sony CD player, and Polk/MOMO speakers fitted in the parcel shelf behind the seats.

Instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an analog clock as well as coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel, and instant economy gauges. The six-digit odometer shows just over 48k miles. An outside temperature gauge is located between the center climate control vents.

The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was factory-rated at 227 horsepower with 279 lb-ft of torque when new, and sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. The dual fuel pumps were replaced upon the selling dealer’s acquisition of the car in July 2019.

Manufacturer’s literature, window sticker, and service records are included in the sale along with first aid and tool kit.

The August 2019 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, listing service and registration history from 1992 onward in New York, Florida, and Virginia. Walk around and driving videos can be viewed below.
