This 1987 Suzuki GSX-R50 was bought new at Mischler’s Cycle of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and is said to have remained with its original owner until the seller’s acquisition in April 2021.The bike is finished in white with blue graphics and powered by an air-cooled 49cc four-stroke single paired with a four-speed transmission. Equipment includes fully-faired bodywork, a headlight, a taillight, a hydraulic front disc brake, a solo seat, a side stand, and 10″ tri-spoke wheels. Service in April 2021 included cleaning and adjusting the carburetor, changing the oil, and flushing the fuel system. This GSX-R 50 is now offered at no reserve in Wisconsin with a bill of sale.

The GSX-R50 was sold in the United States for the 1986 and 1987 model years as an off-road vehicle. This example’s fully-faired bodywork and 1.8-gallon fuel tank are finished in white accented with blue GSX-R racing-replica stripes. Features include a twin-spar box-section frame, a smoke-tinted integrated windscreen, a blue solo seat, a headlight, a taillight, a side stand, and aluminum alloy foot pegs. The seller notes scratches on the decals, heat waves on the lower left fairing, and corrosion on the frame and metal components.

Tri-spoke 10″ wheels are finished in blue and wear 3.50-10″ Dunlop K688 tires. Suspension consists of a conventional trailing-axle fork as well as a monoshock mounted to the box-section swingarm. Braking is provided by a hydraulic disc up front and a mechanical drum at the rear.

Clip-on handlebars mounted below the top triple clamp feature black control levers as well as switchgear for the lights and ignition. U.S.-market GSX-R 50s were not equipped with instrumentation, therefore total mileage is unknown.

The engine breathes through a Mikuni VM13 carburetor and a black exhaust system with an upswept silver-finished muffler.
