1987 Toyota 4Runner 4×4 5-Speed

This 1987 Toyota 4Runner is powered by a 2.4-liter 22R-E inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and it is finished in gray over gray vinyl and plaid cloth upholstery. Features include a black removable hardtop, 15″ alloy wheels, power steering, a power rear window, folding rear seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. The truck was first registered in Texas and remained in the state with the original owner before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2021. This 4Runner now shows 214k miles and is being offered in Florida with the owner’s manual, four spare wheels and tires, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.

The truck was previously refinished in the current shade of gray with silver decals. Features include a black removable hardtop with sliding side windows as well as a bright-finished grille and front bumper, mud flaps, a rear window wiper, and a power rear window. There is a dent in the left door and bubbling paint is shown in the right upper door jamb.

The 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 265/75 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and features a Hi-Trac independent front suspension. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features gray vinyl upholstery with plaid cloth inserts on the seats and door panels along with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and carpets. Amenities include fold-down rear seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, a digital clock, air conditioning, and a heater.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 214k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The fuel-injected 2.4L 22R-E inline-four was factory rated at 116 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. The fuel pump and filter were replaced in March 2023.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Texas.
