One-Owner 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo 5-Speed

This 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo is a Sport Roof coupe that has remained registered with its first owner in California from new. It is finished in Dark Blue Pearl over blue cloth upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a rear spoiler, Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension (TEMS), 16″ alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, automatic climate control, cruise control, and an Alpine CD stereo in addition to an aftermarket air intake and exhaust system. Work performed in December 2022 involved an oil change as well as replacing the thermostat and lower radiator hose. This MA70 Supra is now offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a copy of an installment contract, a tool kit, a Haynes repair manual, the removed factory wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Dark Blue Pearl (8E3) with a color-matched removable Sport Roof. Additional features include a rear window wiper, a rear spoiler, pop-up headlights with washers, and fog lights. The selling dealer states the left-front fender was color-matched and repainted in preparation for the sale. Flaws noted by the selling dealer include scratches and rock chips on the front bumper cover as well as paint chips on the rear sections of the rocker panels, and the power antenna does not extend fully. Photos show scrapes on the front bumper cover.

Bright 16″ Enkei alloy wheels with black-finished centers are wrapped in older 225/50 Goodyear Eagle GT+4 tires, and a spare wheel and tire assembly is mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension (TEMS) shock absorbers, and stopping is handled by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The removed factory wheels are included in the sale.

The cabin features 2+2 seating upholstered in blue cloth along with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and carpeting. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control, cruise control, and an Alpine AM/FM CD stereo as well as power windows, mirrors, and locks. Photos show wear on the shift knob in addition to peeling finish on a climate-control button.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and boost pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 38k miles.

The turbocharged and intercooled 3.0L 7M-GTE inline-six is fitted with an aftermarket air intake and a conical air filter, and factory-rated output was 232 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in December 2022 involved an oil change in addition to replacing the thermostat and lower radiator hose.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with a 3.91:1 axle ratio. The selling dealer states that an HKS exhaust system is installed.

Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with a copy of a retail installment contract, a Haynes repair manual, a tool kit, and a vinyl nose cover.

The Carfax shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California from its initial entry in October 1991.
