This 1987 Volkswagen Golf GTI 16V spent much of its life in California and was purchased by the selling dealer on BaT in April 2022. The car is finished in Diamond Silver Metallic over black vinyl and striped gray cloth upholstery, and it is powered by a 1.8L 16-valve inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a manual sunroof, 14″ teardrop wheels, disc brakes, air conditioning, and a VW Design AM/FM cassette stereo. This Mk2 GTI shows 82k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a shop manual, service records, hand-written service logs, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.

The car is finished in Diamond Silver Metallic (LE7Y) with black bumper covers and trim. Features include a front lip spoiler, a rear wiper, and a manual sunroof.  Noted flaws include a crack in the left reversing light lens, abrasions on the front lip spoiler and bumper covers, and touched-up paint chips around the body. The bodyside molding was re-affixed to the right side of the car with glue under prior ownership.

The 14″ teardrop wheels wear 195/60 Hankook Kinergy ST tires showing 2020 date codes. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, and the front pads and rotors were replaced in 2022.
