1988 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic 4×4

This 1988 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic is finished in white over a gray cloth interior and is powered by a replacement 454ci V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes a removable black soft top, Vintage Air air conditioning, a torque converter lock-up switch, a 6″ suspension lift, and 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels. The truck spent time in Arizona and California before being acquired by the seller in March 2021 and relocated to Nevada. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the transmission and a power steering line as well as an oil change. This Jimmy is now offered with a Carfax Report and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The truck was reportedly repainted in its current white finish under previous ownership and features a black removable soft top, a billet-style grille overlay, a chrome front push bar, side steps, and rear D-ring shackles. The Carfax report shows an accident with another motor vehicle in October 2005 with no further details provided.

Chrome-finished 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels wear 35×13.5″ Toyo Open Country M/T tires. The suspension has been modified with a 6″ lift kit and the seller notes that a high-pressure power steering line was replaced in April 2021.

The interior features gray cloth on the front high-back bucket and rear bench seats along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. An aftermarket dash pad protects the dashboard, and additional amenities include Vintage Air air conditioning, a roll cage, lockable center console storage, and power windows and door locks. The seller notes that corrosion is visible on the roll cage.

A two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and frames an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles, less than 100 of which have been added by the seller. The Carfax report lists a potential odometer rollover in January 2001, and total mileage is unknown.

The 454ci V8 was reportedly installed under previous ownership and features an open-element air cleaner and polished valve covers. An oil change was performed in April 2021.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The transmission was reportedly installed under current ownership, and the truck features a torque converter lock-up switch. An oil leak is noted from the slip yoke assembly, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident and potential odometer rollover and indicates that the truck was reported stolen and recovered in 1990. History is listed in Arizona, California, and Nevada.
