This BMW E30 3-Series Touring got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1989 BMW 318i Touring was sold new in Belgium and has remained there through the current owner’s acquisition in 2021. Finished in Malachite Green Metallic over beige leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 14″ bottle cap wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Bilstein rear shock absorbers, fog lights, and a Bluetooth-capable Continental stereo head unit. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the hood insulation, distributor, oil spray bar, timing belt, water pump, battery, crankshaft position sensor, exhaust components, brake components, suspension components, spark plugs, and fuel injectors. This E30 Touring has 212k kilometers (~132k miles) and is now offered at no reserve with a tool roll, a list of services, service records, and Belgium registration in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Malachite Green Metallic (205) and features fog lights, black side moldings, a rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, heated side mirrors and windshield washers, and a roof-mounted antenna. The seller notes the hood and front valance have been repainted, and the rear window seal, hood insulation pad, front and rear BMW roundels, front bumper inserts, and taillights are said to have been replaced under current ownership. Silver-finished 14″ bottle cap alloy wheels are mounted with 195/65 Uniroyal tires, and steel spare wheel with a Michelin MXV tire is stored beneath the cargo load floor. Bilstein rear shock absorbers and replacement suspension bushings, front ball joints and rear wheel bearings were reportedly installed under current ownership. The braking system is said to have been overhauled with replacement front and rear brake discs, pads, and soft lines as well as handbrake cables and a brake pad sensor.
The cabin houses front and rear seats upholstered in beige leather that extends to the door panels. Amenities include wood veneer trim, a leather-trimmed shift knob, and an aftermarket Continental radio with Bluetooth connectivity. The seller states the headliner and cupholders were replaced in 2022. A split is visible in the left-front seat upholstery, and a crack is shown in the dashboard trim to the right of the fan controls.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 240-km/h speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 212k kilometers (~132k miles), approximately 13k kilometers of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.8-liter M40B18 inline-four is said to have been serviced under current ownership with a replacement water pump, distributor, oil spray bar, valve cover gasket, battery, cold start valve, crankshaft position sensor, air intake boot, coolant hoses, spark plugs, ignition wires, fuel injectors, and timing belt and pulleys. The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a country that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its registration.
