This Chevrolet Camaro 3rd Generation 1982-1992 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS coupe is finished in Bright Red over gray cloth and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes red-finished 15″ wheels, removable roof panels, air conditioning, an aftermarket exhaust, USB ports, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2023, and the instrument cluster is said to have been refurbished in preparation for the sale. This RS coupe is now offered by the selling dealer with an additional set of wheels, a Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title.
The car is finished in Bright Red, and exterior equipment includes a rear spoiler, removable roof panels, fog lights, sport mirrors, and body-color front and rear fascias. There are paint chips on the front fascia.
Aftermarket red-finished 15″ wheels are mounted with 215/65 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. Damage is visible on the lips of the front wheels. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums, which are said to have been replaced in July 2022.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in gray cloth, and amenities include air conditioning, manual crank windows, USB ports and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The center console lid is torn and the bass-level control cap is missing.
The steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and frames a 115-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset oil pressure gauge as well as auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The selling dealer states that the instrument cluster was refurbished in November 2023 to correct an erratic speedometer and tachometer. An iEquus coolant temperature gauge is mounted to the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.0-liter L03 V8 features electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. The mufflers are said to have been replaced in June 2022.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in South Carolina and North Carolina. An open recall for seat belt buckles is listed in the first entry in June 1990.
A set of factory wheels are included in the sale.
