1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 5-Speed

This 1989 Ford Mustang LX notchback is finished in Medium Shadow Blue Metallic over Medium Gray cloth and is powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 18″ SVE Saleen-style wheels, a limited-slip differential, a rear hatch spoiler, front sport seats, a short-throw shifter, air conditioning, cruise control, premium audio, and a cassette stereo. The car was first delivered to Prestridge Ford in Roanoke, Alabama, and spent the majority of its life in Georgia prior to the seller’s acquisition in October 2021. This Fox-body Mustang LX is now offered with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, spare parts, and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished from the factory in Medium Shadow Blue Metallic and the seller notes it was previously resprayed under warranty. Features include a fixed antenna, power side mirrors, a rear hatch spoiler, and dual polished exhaust outlets. Carfax reports damage to the front in 1996, with no further details given, and photos of body panel VIN labels are viewable in the gallery. The lower front bumper is warped.

Aftermarket 18″ SVE Saleen SC-style wheels are mounted with 255/35 front and 275/35 rear Nitto NT555 tires. Standard equipment included a Handling Suspension Package featuring variable-rate springs and a Quadra-Shock rear setup, and aftermarket adjustable camber plates have been fitted. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features articulated front sport seats and a rear bench upholstered in Medium Gray cloth. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a cassette stereo, a premium sound system, and power windows and door locks. An aftermarket short-throw shifter has been installed, and a blemish in the passenger-seat bottom is seen in the gallery below.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists a potential odometer rollover in October 2021, and total mileage is unknown.

The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Noted service under current ownership included replacing the clutch and the rear main seal as well as performing various fluids services.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Prestridge Ford in Roanoke, Alabama, and lists factory equipment, colors, and a total price of $13,671.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage in 1996 and the potential odometer rollover, and it lists registration history in Georgia and Arizona. A mileage entry of 80,439 is shown in February 2022.

The current Arizona title carries an Exceeds Mechanical Limits odometer brand.
