This Ford F-Series 1987-1991 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat is a regular cab, four-wheel-drive example that spent much of its life in California and was acquired by the seller in May 2020. The truck is finished in brown over brown cloth upholstery and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Polished 15″ wheels with 33″ tires, a 1.5″ front leveling kit, Monroe shocks, and an Alpine head unit have been added, while factory equipment includes power steering, air conditioning, and cruise control. A repaint was carried out under previous ownership, while more recent work is said to have included replacement of the valve cover gaskets, an air conditioning service, and an oil change. This F-150 is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted its current shade of brown under previous ownership and features brushed aluminum tailgate trim, chrome bumpers with rubber moldings, and a sliding rear window. The seller notes that the passenger door was replaced following a break-in attempt, and blemishes including scuffs and dents on the bumpers are shown up close in the image gallery below.
Polished 15″ five-slot alloy wheels with chrome lug nuts wear 33×12.5″ Falken Wild Peak tires that were reportedly mounted during current ownership. The front axle features manually-locking hubs. Monroe shocks and a 1.5″ front leveling kit have been added, and the rear brakes were serviced according to the seller.
The interior features a bench seat upholstered in brown cloth with a fold-down center armrest along with a matching dashboard, carpeting, and door panel inserts. An Alpine head unit and a steering wheel cover have been added, while factory equipment includes power windows and locks, air conditioning, and cruise control. The seller notes wear to the door panels and hazing of the rear view mirror.
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for battery voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 17 miles and has rolled over at least once. Approximately 500 miles have been added by the seller, and total mileage is unknown.
The 5.0L V8 features multi-port electronic fuel injection and was rated for 185 horsepower at 3,800 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 rpm when new. Work carried out under current ownership reportedly included replacement of the valve cover gaskets, an air conditioning service, and an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a two-speed transfer case. Additional images of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration, service, and emissions inspection history in California beginning in 1989 through its most recent entry in November 2020.
