1990 Jeep Wrangler Laredo 5-Speed

Sold for $12,500 on 9/8/20

This 1990 Jeep Wrangler Laredo is finished in black over gray fabric and powered by a 4.2-liter AMC inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is said to have been purchased new in Puyallup, Washington and was acquired by the selling dealer in June 2020. Features include a black hardtop, Laredo-specific decals, 31″ Kumho tires mounted on 15″ aluminum wheels, a heater, and a period Kenwood cassette stereo. Service in preparation for the sale consisted of a refinish of the flywheel, replacement of the clutch, and multiple fluid changes. This YJ Wrangler shows just over 115k miles and is offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington title.

The truck is finished in black and features Laredo-specific details including a chrome grille bumpers, unique silver decals, and body-colored fender flares. The black removable hardtop features a rear-window wiper and aftermarket tint film on the side windows. Exterior refurbishment completed by the selling dealer consisted of a paint correction, a refresh of the existing weatherstripping and seals, reconditioning of the fender flares, and polishing of the chrome and glass.

The 15″ aluminum wheels and 31 x 10.5″ Kumho Road Venture AT51 tires were installed in preparation for the sale, and a matching spare has been mounted to a rear carrier. Additional work carried out by the selling dealer includes installation of front leveling spring shackle extensions and completion of a brake fluid flush.

The seats are upholstered in gray fabric with a matching dash, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include removable doors with roll-down windows, a locking center console with cup holders, a heater, and a period Kenwood cassette player. The seats and carpets were removed from the vehicle and were steam cleaned and shampooed shortly after the selling dealer’s acquisition. Staining remains visible on the passenger seat.

A three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer and 100-mph speedometer. Additional instrumentation consisting of an analog clock and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage are mounted above the dash. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge has been added beneath the radio. The six-digit odometer shows just over 115k miles.

The 4.2-liter AMC inline-six produced 112 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Multiple fluid changes were completed in preparation for the sale.

Power is directed through a five-speed manual transmission and to the rear or all four wheels through a dual-range transfer case. The clutch was replaced and the flywheel resurfaced in July 2020. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.

The July 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists emissions inspection, registration, and service history in Washington from April 1993 to July 2020.
