This 1991 BMW R100GS dual-sport motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 980cc opposed twin paired with a five-speed transmission and finished in black with yellow accents. Equipment includes a driveshaft, a Paralever single-sided swingarm, a front disc brake, engine and fairing guards, hand guards, a rear luggage rack, hard BMW side cases, heated grips, and a Progressive rear monoshock. The bike was acquired by the seller in Washington State in February 2021 and subsequent service included engine, transmission, and differential fluid changes along with checking the valve clearances and replacing the spark plugs, battery, carburetor boots, fork seals, and tires. This E91 R100GS has 68k miles and is now offered with a tool roll, a tire repair kit, an exhaust flange wrench, a BMW shop rag, a poster, and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name.

The bike is finished in a “bumblebee” scheme with the bodywork and tubular double-loop frame painted in black and the stripes, logos, fork legs, fairing protection bars, and rider seat portion in yellow. Features include a front fairing with an adjustable windscreen, a 6.3-gallon fuel tank, both side and center stands, black engine guards, a black and yellow two-up seat, a rear luggage rack, and mounting brackets for the removable side cases. There is a tear on the right edge of the seat and scratches are visible on the front fender, the fairing guards, and the right side of the fairing.

Wire-spoke wheels with 21″ front and 17″ rear Akront alloy rims were mounted with Metzeler Enduro 3 Sahara tires by the seller. Braking components include a 285mm drilled disc and Brembo two-piston caliper up front and a 200mm simplex drum out back. Suspension consists of a 40mm Marzocchi fork that was fitted with replacement seals as well as a Progressive preload-adjustable monoshock connected to the Paralever single-sided swingarm.

The black cross-braced handlebar features hand guards and heated grips. An instrument panel behind the fairing holds a MotoMeter 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline along with a bank of indicator lights. The five-digit odometer indicates 68k miles, 800 of which were ridden by the seller.

The air-cooled 980cc OHV opposed twin was factory rated at 60 horsepower and 56 lb-ft of torque. Features include Bosch electronic ignition, two Bing carburetors, and an oil cooler mounted to the right engine guard. The chrome two-into-one exhaust system is fitted with a high-mount muffler and a black heat shield. Service in 2021 is said to have included checking the valve clearances, replacing the spark plugs, carburetor boots, and battery, and changing the engine, transmission, and differential fluids.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a dry clutch, a five-speed transmission, and a driveshaft enclosed within the Telelever swingarm.
