This Chevrolet 454 SS got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1991 Chevrolet 454 SS pickup was modified in 1991 by California Street Rods in Huntington Beach, California. Work performed during the build process included a repaint in black and red with green pinstriping as well as the installation of a fiberglass cowl hood, a custom-fabricated aluminum grille, a roll pan with C4 Corvette-style taillights, rear fender flares, and a fiberglass tonneau cover and interior bed panels. Power is supplied by a Paxton-supercharged 454ci V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and the 454 SS package added separate oil and transmission fluid coolers as well as a heavy-duty radiator, a larger front sway bar, and quick-ratio steering. Additional equipment includes 17″ Boyd Coddington five-spoke aluminum wheels, a Belltech lowering kit, and Bilstein shocks in addition to air conditioning, a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo, cruise control, sport bucket front seats, and power windows and door locks. This 454 SS is now offered in California by the selling dealer with issues of Sport Truck and Hot Truck magazines in which the truck is featured as well as an accident-free Carfax report and a clean Arizona title.

The rear wheel wells were also enlarged and fitted with fender flares at that time, the factory taillight openings were filled, and the tailgate latch was relocated to the inside.
