This Mercedes-Benz W126 S-Class got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL shows under 64k kilometers (~40k miles) and is a Canadian-market example that was reportedly purchased new in Vancouver. Finished in Almandine Red over Cream Beige leather, this example is equipped with a 5.5-liter M117 V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Options include heated seats, a rear sunshade, airbags, and automatic climate control, and the car is reported to remain unmodified apart from the addition of a car phone. It has covered 600 kilometers since the seller’s recent acquisition, and this W126 is now being offered for sale at no reserve with a clean Carfax and a clear British Columbia title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Almandine Red Metallic (512U), and the seller states that the hood and trunk lid have been repainted due to scratches in the finish. A scratch is present on the passenger door, and a number of matching VIN tags are pictured in the gallery along with several close-up photos. No accidents are listed on the included Carfax report.
North American-spec lighting and trim are retained, and the factory 15” slotted wheels are wrapped in Michelin tires that are 11 years old. Small rust bubbles are noted on the rear wheel well and driver’s front fender as shown in the gallery.
Interior equipment includes airbags, heated seats, rear foot rests, automatic climate control, and a Bose sound system with a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/Cassette head unit. The Cream Beige leather shows only light creasing of the driver’s outer bolsters, and the burl wood trim is pictured up close in the gallery. A car phone has been added to the center console, and the rear sunshade does not operate properly. Under 64k kilometers (~40k miles) are shown on the odometer.
The M117 SOHC V8 is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Power steering gaskets reportedly show some wear, and the seller claims that the engine bay exhibits visual signs of a recent tune-up. No service records are provided.
