This Mercedes-Benz R129 SL got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500SL is finished in Signal Red over black leather and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, a black soft top, 18″ wheels, fog lights, automatic climate control, and a Pioneer stereo. The seller acquired the car in 2010 and has since added approximately 20k of the 60k miles shown. This R129 is now offered with the owner’s manual, a first-aid kit, a hardtop stand, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red and features a matching removable hardtop and a black soft top. Additional features include fog lights, and fender air vents. The left-rear quarter panel is said to have been repaired and refinished in 2012. The seller states that the soft top hydraulic cylinders were replaced in 2010 and notes a possible fluid leak.
Chrome-finished 18″ five-spoke wheels are wrapped in 245/40 Yokohama AVS ES100 tires up front and 275/40 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires in the rear.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in black leather with burl wood accents on the doors and center stack. Amenities include a deployable roll bar, automatic climate control, cruise control, a heated rear hardtop window, and a Pioneer stereo. The seller states that the pull tab to release the parking brake is missing and that the center console latch is broken.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.0-liter M119 V8 was factory rated at 322 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Texas, Arizona, and California.
