This 1992 Porsche 968 is one of approximately 649 coupes produced for the North American market for the model year. It is finished in Amethyst Pearl over gray leather and is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 16″ Cup wheels, a sunroof, front sport seats, cruise control, and a Blaupunkt Bremen stereo. The car spent time in Nebraska, Colorado, California, and Washington State before the selling dealer’s 2022 acquisition and relocation to Massachusetts, and it now shows 94k miles. Work completed in September 2022 reportedly included a timing belt service and replacing the water pump. This 968 coupe is now offered by the selling dealer in Massachusetts at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington State title.
The car is finished in Amethyst Pearl (L38A) and features pop-up headlights, fog lights, body-color mirror caps, a power-operated sunroof, a rear hatch spoiler, a rear window wiper, and black bumperettes. The selling dealer notes evidence of paintwork on the front bumper, hood, and front fenders, and doors. Exterior imperfections include dings around the body, a dent in the left-rear quarter panel, and scratches and chips on the rear bumper.
The 16″ Cup alloy wheels are mounted with Continental Extreme Sports tires measuring 205/56 up front and 255/50 out back that were reportedly mounted in 2021. Stopping power is provided by four-piston calipers over vented discs at each corner, and ABS was standard. Bilstein rear dampers are fitted.
The cabin features replacement front sport seats upholstered in gray leather along with color-coordinating door panels and carpeting. Amenities include two rear seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB stereo, and power windows and mirrors. The seller notes the sport seats were installed under previous ownership, tears and stains are visible on the rear carpets, the shift knob is worn, and the dashboard has cracks near the defroster vents.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 94k miles.
The 3.0-liter inline-four features VarioCam variable valve timing and was factory rated at 236 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. Work completed in September 2022 reportedly included a timing belt service and replacing the water pump.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transaxle was reportedly resealed in 2016.
