This Chevrolet Corvette C4 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1993 Chevrolet Corvette is a modified example that has remained in Florida throughout its life and was acquired by the seller in 2016. Finished in Bright Aqua Metallic over a custom leather interior, the car is powered by a 5.7-liter LT1 V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include a 3.45:1 Dana 44 rear end, a 2,800-rpm stall torque converter, 1.6 ratio Crane roller rocker arms, Pacesetter shorty headers, a MadTuner performance tune, a TransGo shift kit, a Corsa cat-back exhaust, and more. This C4 shows 81k miles and is now offered with a clean Carfax report, service records dating to 2006, an owner’s manual and video, maintenance books, a 1993 Corvette watch, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Bright Aqua Metallic (43U), and the Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage. The seller notes the polyurethane nose piece shows fading, and a black mini nose bra has been installed and is shown in accompanying photos. Spiderwebbing is noted in the translucent black targa top, although new roof seals were installed by a previous owner and the seller has not observed leakage.
17” x 9” chrome ZR-1 replica wheels have been added and Sumitomo HTR Z II tires were mounted in September 2016, with an alignment completed at that time. The brakes have been upgraded with 13” J55 components up front, including rebuilt calipers and caliper brackets. Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors have been added all-around, as well as Goodridge stainless-steel brake hoses.
The seats are trimmed in custom blue and beige upholstery sourced from Al Knoch Interiors, with new foam cushions added at the time of installation in 2009. The seller notes the upholstery is a higher-quality leather than the factory material. A recovered steering wheel and refurbished beige seatbelts were also installed under previous ownership. The radio and speakers were rebuilt by Dr. Don’s, and the rear speaker amplifiers were also rebuilt. The seller notes that the CD player requires frequent cleaning and the headlight dimmer stalk works only with the steering wheel tilted down.
The gauge cluster was rebuilt in September 2016, and instrumentation includes a digital odometer showing approximately 81k miles, 600 of which have been added by the seller. The fuel gauge sensor was replaced in January 2018. The speedometer driven gear was replaced in 2007 in accordance with the rear axle gear change.
The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 features 1.6 ratio Crane Gold Race roller rocker arms, LT4 valve springs, Pacesetter shorty exhaust headers, and powder-coated aluminum valve covers. A performance tune from MadTuner also has been added. Additional modifications include a 9.5” 2,800-rpm stall torque converter, a Dana 44 rear end with a 3.45:1 gear ratio, and a Corsa cat-back exhaust. A Jegs transmission cooler and deep aluminum transmission pan were added, and a TransGo shift kit was installed.
A 5-page list of modifications, repairs, and maintenance from March 2006 through May 2018 is included in the photo gallery below. The previous owner was reportedly an ASE certified technician who completed work himself during ownership. Service during the seller’s ownership has included a new battery in May 2018, an oil change in January 2018, and replacing the brake booster in 2017.
Also included with the sale are an owner’s manual and video, maintenance books, and a 1993 Corvette watch.
The accident-free Carfax report lists registrations in Florida since new.
