This 1993 Daihatsu Charade De Tomaso is a Japanese-market example that was Imported to the US and acquired by the seller in 2022. Silver-finished 14″ five-spoke alloy wheels feature De Tomaso center caps and are mounted with 185/60 Falken Ziex ZE912 tires. The car features McPherson strut front and rear suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted discs with ventilated front and solid rear rotors. According to the seller, the front-right CV boot has split.
The right-hand-drive cabin features Recaro front seats trimmed in two-tone blue and gray upholstery, while red accents adorn the carpets and inner portions of the door storage pockets. Appointments include air conditioning, a JVC stereo, cup holders, a glovebox-mounted storage pouch, and power windows. A tear is located on the upper corner of the driver’s seat, a scuff is present on the right side of the dash, and wear is visible on the floor mats.
A leather-wrapped Nardi steering wheel fronts a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 96k kilometers (~60k miles).
The 1.6-liter HD inline-four features electronic fuel injection and four valves per cylinder. Service performed in preparation for the sale included an oil change as well as replacing the engine air filter.
