This Mercury Capri got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1993 Mercury Capri is said to have remained with a single family from new until it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, and it now shows 44k miles. Powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle, the car is finished in Dark Charcoal Metallic over gray leather upholstery. Equipment includes a folding soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, 14″ aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and power-adjustable mirrors as well as a folding rear seat, air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and an Audiovox AM/FM/cassette stereo. This Capri convertible is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, hardtop tools and hardware, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The body is finished in Dark Charcoal Metallic (W3) with red and gray bodyside trim. Exterior details include a black soft top, and power-adjustable mirrors as well as pop-up headlights, which can be seen both raised and lowered in the photo gallery below.
Factory 14″ aluminum wheels are wrapped in 195/60 Primewell PS830 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Wear is visible on the center caps.
The front bucket seats and the folding two-passenger rear bench seat are upholstered in gray leather. The driver’s seat features manual lumbar, seat-tilt, and height adjustments, and other interior appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a digital clock, power windows, and an aftermarket Audiovox AM/FM/cassette stereo.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 10 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 1.6-liter B6D inline-four features dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Factory-rated output was 100 horsepower and 95 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The car is accompanied by a removable hardtop that features a fabric headliner, a dome light, reading lights, and a heated glass rear window as well as a Capri-branded cover and a rolling stand. Hardware and tools for the hardtop as well as manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California. The car was designated a gross polluter by the state of California in April 2003, and it most recently passed a California emissions test in May 2023.
