This Toyota 4Runner (N120) got away, but there are more like it here.

1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4WD

Sold for $14,750 on 10/26/22

This 1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 has been registered in California since new and is powered by a rebuilt 3.0-liter 3VZ-E V6 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in green over gray cloth upholstery, it is equipped with 15″ alloy wheels, a sunroof, a receiver hitch, front sport seats, an aftermarket trailer brake controller and driveline disconnect system, air conditioning, cruise control, and a CD stereo. The engine was reportedly rebuilt under prior ownership in 2021, and work since the seller’s acquisition that same year has included fluid changes and replacement of the tires, prop shaft, transfer case output seal, and power steering pump. This 4Runner SR5 shows 137k miles and is now offered with the owner’s manual, a spare wheel, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The truck was finished in Evergreen Pearl from the factory and is said to have been refinished under prior ownership with additional paintwork on the top of the vehicle. Features include a sunroof, gradient silver bodyside graphics, running boards, roof rails, a receiver hitch, mud flaps, a rear wind deflector, and a power rear window. Noted flaws include a left-side mirror that rattles at higher speeds, poorly blended paintwork, a dent on the left-front fender, paint chips and scratches around the body, missing letters on the rear Toyota decal, and oxidized front turn signal and rear lenses.

The 15″ alloy wheels are said to have been refinished in April 2022 and mounted with 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich T/A KO2 tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums with ABS. The steering idler arm, CV axles, boots, shocks, and front brake pads and rotors were reportedly replaced under prior ownership since 2020, and 1.5” rear coil spacers are also said to have been installed. An alignment was performed in April 2022.

The cabin features manually adjustable front sport seats upholstered in gray patterned cloth along with color-coordinated trim and carpets. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo, a rear heater, and power windows. A trailer brake controller was installed under prior ownership along with a driveline disconnect system for towing. Noted flaws include a split seam on the front passenger seat cushion, frayed piping on the left-side driver-seat bolster, and a worn brake pedal pad.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 137k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.0-liter 3VZ-E V6 was reportedly rebuilt under prior ownership in 2021. The work is said to have included a valve job and installation of rebuilt cylinder heads along with a reground crankshaft. The seller states that the following components were also replaced:

front & rear camshaft seals

water pump, radiator & thermostat

oil pan

The power steering pump was replaced in April 2022 when the engine oil, brake fluid, and power steering fluid were also changed. Photos showing the engine rebuild work in progress have been placed in the gallery.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The prop shaft and transfer case output seal were replaced in April 2022 when the fluids for the transfer case, transmission, and front and rear differentials were also changed. Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with a spare wheel.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in California.

The California title accompanying the truck is marked “duplicate.”
