This 1995 Ducati 900SS Sport Production is said to have been sold new at Cycle Specialties of Athens, Georgia, and is number 654 produced by Ducati for the model year. It spent time with three owners in Alabama, Florida, and New York before being acquired by the seller on BaT in September 2022 and relocated to California. The bike is finished in red over a silver trellis frame and powered by a 904cc L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes a full fairing, a carbon-fiber front fender, a removable passenger seat cowl, adjustable Showa suspension, triple Brembo disc brakes, braided stainless-steel clutch and brake lines, dual Mikuni carburetors with stage 1 jetting, a dual exhaust system with Micron slip-on mufflers, and a dry clutch with a Yoyodyne slave cylinder and an STM kit. Work performed under current ownership included replacing the tires and flushing the brake and clutch fluids. This 900SS SP is now offered at no reserve with records from previous ownership, a spare set of carburetors, additional spare parts, two keys, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The fully faired bodywork was refinished under previous ownership in red with white, gray, and black graphics from a 1992 900SS. Features include a 4.6-gallon fuel tank with a black zipper guard and a two-up sport seat with a removable passenger seat cowl as well as a tail piece with an integrated grab handle. Additional equipment consists of a silver-finished steel trellis frame, a tinted windscreen, a carbon-fiber front fender, rear-set foot controls, and a side stand. The seller notes a paint chip on the grab handle and a ding in the right-side muffler.

Brembo 17″ three-spoke alloy wheels were powder-coated in white in 2011 and were mounted with ZR-rated 120/70 front and 180/55 rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires under current ownership. The adjustable Showa 41mm inverted fork has been rebuilt with Race Tech springs and valving. A piggyback monoshock is mounted to the aluminum swingarm assembly. Braking is from dual Brembo four-piston calipers mounted over 320mm cross-drilled floating rotors up front and a 245mm drilled rotor with a floating two-piston Brembo caliper at the rear. The brake fluid was flushed under current ownership.

Black clip-on handlebars are equipped with Brembo clutch and brake master cylinders, an adjustable vortex clutch lever, and bar-end mirrors. Braided stainless-steel clutch and brake lines have been installed. Instrumentation consists of a Veglia Borletti 160-mph speedometer and a matching tachometer with a 9k-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, approximately 60 of which were ridden by the seller.

The air- and oil-cooled 904cc Desmodue L-twin features Fast by Ferracci high-compression pistons, a pair of 38mm Mikuni carburetors with stage 1 jetting, and dual exhausts with Micron slip-on mufflers. Work performed under previous ownership in 2021 is said to have included adjusting the valves and replacing the pistons and timing belts, and additional service under previous ownership in the time since has encompassed rebuilding the carburetors and changing the oil. A spare set of carburetors with stage 2 jetting are included in the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a dry clutch with an open cover as well as a drive chain. An STM slipper clutch kit has been installed along with a Yoyodyne slave cylinder. The clutch fluid was flushed under current ownership.
