1995 Ford Aerostar XLT Extended-Length E-4WD

This 1995 Ford Aerostar XLT is an extended-length example that was delivered new to Marley Gross Ford Inc. in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, and is said to have remained with the first owner in the state until the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2023. Finished in Deep Emerald Green with Mocha lower cladding over Mocha cloth upholstery, the van has 57k miles and is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and an Electronic-4WD system. It was optioned with the Preferred Equipment Package and Light Group in addition to quad captain’s chairs with a rear seat bed, a floor console, a high-capacity air conditing system, a roof rack, and 14″ forged aluminum wheels. This Aerostar is now offered by the selling dealer with a window sticker, two Chilton’s repair manuals, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title.

While the Aerostar was replaced for the 1995 model year by the front-wheel drive Windstar, Ford sold both model lines concurrently through the 1997 model year. This example left the factory finished in Deep Emerald Green and features Mocha lower-body panels as well as an optional roof rack, a rear window wiper, and sliding rear windows. Paint imperfections, including a scratch behind the right rear wheel, are shown up close in the gallery below.

Forged 14″ aluminum wheels are wrapped in Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWPII tires, and a compact spare is mounted underneath. Power-assisted steering and brakes were standard equipment.

The front captain’s chairs have power lumbar adjustments and are upholstered in Mocha cloth with patterned inserts and red accents. A floor console and a high-capacity air conditing system were optioned when new, and other interior appointments include an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a rear defroster, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and front and rear climate controls.

Instrumentation consists of a 90-mph speedometer along with readouts for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The digital odometer indicates 57k miles, approximately 10 of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The rear compartment can be accessed via a sliding door on the right side and is home to second-row captain’s chairs and a removable third-row bench that can be converted into a bed. An ashtray, headphone jacks, and controls for the fan speed are located behind the driver’s seat.

The 4.0-liter V6 produced 152 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque when new. Per the selling dealer, the engine oil and battery were changed in November 2023.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and an Electronic-4WD system developed specifically for the Aerostar that uses a Dana TC28 transfer case with a center differential.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Marley Gross Ford Inc. in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, along with factory colors, standard and optional equipment, and a total price of $26,422. Manufacturer’s literature and two Chilton’s repair manuals are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with a gap in entries between December 1994 and May 2006. A duplicate title was issued in November 2023.
