This Ford Thunderbird (1989-1997) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1995 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe has been registered in Oregon from new through the selling dealer’s acquisition in January 2023. Powered by a supercharged 3.8-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a Traction-Lock differential, the car is finished in red over gray cloth and leather upholstery. Features include revised lower bodywork, an adjustable automatic ride control system, 16″ American Racing wheels, cruise control, a factory cassette stereo, and a trunk-mounted Blaupunkt CD changer. Work performed in preparation for the sale is said to have included replacing the power steering pump, dampers, control arms, anti-roll bar end links, and brake components in addition to the valve cover gaskets. This Thunderbird SC shows 78k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, several keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.
The Super Coupe is differentiated from the standard Thunderbird via revised bumper covers and side skirts, and this example left the factory finished in Electric Red (EG). American Racing 16″ wheels are mounted with 225/60 Toyo Eclipse tires. The Super Coupe features a revised suspension package with an adjustable automatic ride control system. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the power steering pump and pulley as well as the dampers, control arms, anti-roll bar end links, and brake calipers and pads.
The bolstered front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in gray cloth and leather. Appointments include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, a center stack-mounted status lamp panel, and a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo as well as power windows, door locks, and mirrors. The car is equipped with a trunk-mounted Blaupunkt CD changer as well as automatic climate control, though the seller states that the air-conditioning system is inoperative.
The Super Coupe-branded airbag steering wheel frames a 145-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a gauge displaying vacuum and boost pressure as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The supercharged 3.8-liter V6 was factory-rated at 210 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer states that the valve cover gaskets were replaced and that the oil and the battery were changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a Traction-Lock differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Oregon.
