This Jeep XJ Cherokee got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1995 Jeep Cherokee Country was initially delivered to Edinburg Motors of Edinburg, Virginia, and is finished in Emerald Green over gray cloth upholstery. Power is provided by a 4.0-liter inline six linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes 15″ Lattice alloy wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, cruise control, woodgrain interior trim, an overhead console, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. In 2023 the headliner, dome lights, engine coolant thermostat, and HVAC heater hose were replaced and an oil change and coolant flush were performed. This Cherokee shows 98k miles and is offered at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Emerald Green with Mist Gray lower-body cladding, pinstripes, and 4×4 badging. Exterior features include a roof rack, a receiver hitch, dual remote control breakaway mirrors, and a rear window wiper. An October 2022 entry on the Carfax report notes an accident with another vehicle that resulted in damage to the right side. The seller reports that paintless dent repair was performed in June 2023. The 15″ Aluminum Lattice wheels wear 225/70 General Altimax RT tires. The truck came equipped from the factory with power steering and stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums with ABS. Scuffs are evident on the wheels, one of which was replaced under previous ownership per the seller.
The cabin features reclining front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in gray cloth upholstery. Amenities include a rear window defroster, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and cruise control. The headliner, a fuse, and dome lights were replaced in June 2023.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on an adjustable column and frames an 85-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer indicates 98k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller.
The PowerTech 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The engine coolant thermostat, coolant outlet gasket, and HVAC heater hose and control valve were replaced in June 2023. Additional work performed in 2023 is said to include the replacement of the oil pan gasket and rear main seal as well as a coolant flush and an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck features a Command-Trac four-wheel drive system. The transfer case chain was reportedly replaced in 2022. Corrosion is present on underside components, additional photos of which are shown in the gallery below.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Edinburg Motors of Edinburg, Virginia, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $22,347. Manufacturer’s literature is also included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident and damage entries and lists history in Virginia from its first entry in 2004.
