This 1996 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 is an extended-cab 4×4 short-bed example that has been registered in Washington and Oregon since new and is powered by a 5.7-liter Vortec V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in Victory Red over gray cloth, the truck is equipped with a locking rear differential, the Z71 off-road package, a receiver hitch, a drop-in bedliner, a power-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, air conditioning, Smittybilt side steps, 16″ Raceline wheels, and a Bluetooth-capable Sony stereo. The truck was acquired in 2007 by the seller, who reports that work since 2022 included servicing the air conditioning system and replacing the thermostat, temperature sensor switch, spark plugs, and gaskets for the intake manifold and valve covers. This Z71 Silverado shows 176k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, service records from current ownership, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.
The truck is finished in Victory Red with black bodyside moldings, bright trim, and Z71 graphics, and the seller reports that the left side was refinished during current ownership following hail-damage repairs that included replacing the hood. Features include a receiver hitch, a sliding rear window, a hood visor, pinstriping, Smittybilt step bars, pop-out rear quarter windows, bright bumpers, and a a Bushwacker drop-in bedliner with rail caps and an inner tailgate cover.
Black-finished 16″ Raceline wheels are mounted with 265/75 Open Range All Terrain SQM-3 tires. The truck is equipped with speed-sensitive power steering, an independent front suspension, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. Service since 2022 is said to have included replacing brake rotors and a wheel bearing as well as the pitman arm and idler arm.
The high-back front bucket seats and the rear bench are trimmed in gray cloth joined by color-coordinated carpeting and trim. Features include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power lumbar adjustment, a fold-down center armrest, remote keyless entry, power windows and locks, all-weather floor mats, and a Bluetooth-capable Sony stereo connected to a subwoofer. The dashboard has a repaired crack on the left side beneath its carpeted cover.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 176k miles, approximately 80k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.7-liter Vortec V8 features sequential fuel injection and was factory rated at 255 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. Work since 2022 is said to have included recharging the air conditioning system and replacing the thermostat, intake manifold gasket, temperature sensor switch, engine oil, valve cover gaskets, heater hoses, spark plugs, and oil cooler hoses.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and an electronic dual-range transfer case. The seller states that the right-front axle was replaced and the front differential was resealed during current ownership.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Washington and Oregon.
