This Ford F-Series 1992-1997 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1996 Ford F-250 XL is a standard-cab long-bed pickup that was used by the Richland County Fire Department in South Carolina prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2021. Finished in red over red and black upholstery, the truck is powered by a 5.8-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include dual fuel tanks, air conditioning, and a factory AM/FM stereo. This F-250 XL has 24k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, two sets of keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in Vermillion Red (E4) and equipped with chrome windshield trim, gray-finished bumpers, diamond plate bed caps, and a single-piece rear window. The seller notes that a light-bar was removed and its mounting holes were welded prior to a repaint of the roof. Paint chips and a scrape on the grille are highlighted in the photo gallery below.
Gray 16″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 235/85 Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT tires. A spare wheel and tire are mounted beneath the bed.
The cab features a bench seat upholstered in red vinyl with a matching dashboard and door panels. A black vinyl mat lines the floor, and amenities include air conditioning, a factory AM/FM stereo, and manually-operated windows, locks, and mirrors.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit digital odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added by the seller.
The 351ci Windsor V8 was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that an oil change was performed in October 2021 along with replacement of the air and fuel filters
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
Manufacturer’s literature, owner’s manuals, and two keys are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in South Carolina and Florida.
