This Lincoln Mark VIII got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC was initially delivered to Beach Lincoln-Mercury of Huntington Beach, California, and it remained registered in the state until it was acquired by the seller in August 2020. Finished in Opal Opalescent Clearcoat Metallic over Saddle leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 4.6-liter DOHC V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a sport-tuned self-leveling air suspension, HID headlights, chrome-finished 16″ wheels, automatic climate control, JBL audio, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and power-adjustable front bucket seats in addition to an onboard computer with a dashboard-mounted message center. The powertrain control module, suspension air compressor, and cassette stereo were replaced under current ownership. This Mark VIII has 31k miles and is now offered at no reserve with a Deluxe Marti Report, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The Mark VIII was built on an upscaled version of the platform underpinning the contemporary Ford Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar, and this example is finished in Opal Opalescent Clearcoat Metallic (WK) with body-color side moldings. Additional exterior details include a power-retractable antenna, Sylvania Luminarc sealed-beam HID headlights, and a keyless entry pad. Photos show blemishes on the passenger-side door handle as well as faded badges on the decklid.
Chrome-finished 16″ wheels wearing replacement Lincoln-branded center caps were reportedly mounted with 225/60 Michelin Premier A/S tires in October 2020. The Mark VIII features a self-leveling air suspension system, which received sport tuning for the LSC variant. The suspension air compressor was reportedly replaced under current ownership.
The power-adjustable front bucket seats and the contoured rear bench seat are upholstered in Saddle leather with embroidered Lincoln emblems and perforated inserts. Appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, JBL audio, a trunk-mounted CD changer, LSC-branded front floor mats, and driver-seat position memory settings as well as an onboard computer with a status display in the center of the dashboard. A replacement AM/FM/cassette stereo was installed under current ownership.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge with readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 750 of which were added by the seller.
The 4.6-liter InTech V8 is equipped with dual overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, four valves per cylinder, and RPM-dependent variable-length intake runners. Factory-rated output was 290 horsepower in LSC configuration. The seller states that an oil change was carried out in fall 2022 and the serpentine belt was replaced in August 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The transmission fluid was changed in April 2021, at which time a remanufactured powertrain control module (PCM) was installed.
The Deluxe Marti report lists production figures, factory colors and equipment, and initial delivery to Beach Lincoln-Mercury of Huntington Beach, California, along with a build date of June 12, 1996.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California and Indiana.
