This Chevrolet Tahoe GMT400 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe LT is a four-door example that has remained registered in North Carolina from new and is finished in Smokey Carmel Metallic over tan cloth upholstery. Power is supplied by a 5.7-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes 16” wheels, barn-style tailgate doors, air conditioning, a power-adjustable split front bench, and a Sony head unit. The truck was acquired by the selling dealer in September 2022 and has 102k miles. This GMT400 shows is offered at no reserve in South Carolina with an owner’s manual and a clean North Carolina title.
The body is finished in Smokey Carmel Metallic (333D) and features chrome-finished bumper covers and trim pieces as well as front tow hooks, barn-style tailgate doors, and roof rails with crossbars. The Carfax report notes the truck hit a parked motor vehicle resulting in “minor to moderate damage” to the right front in January 2021, and the hood, passenger-side fender, and door are said to have been refinished. A crack is evident on the front grille, and imperfections in the paint are shown in the gallery.
Aluminum 16″ wheels are wrapped with 285/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires that were reportedly mounted in preparation for the sale. A spare wheel and tire are secured under the truck. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted discs up front and drums out back.
The seats are trimmed in tan cloth upholstery and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include a power-adjustable 60/40 split front bench, a Sony head unit, rubber floor mats, a rear window defroster, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors, and locks.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel sits on an adjustable steering column and frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 102k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 5.7-liter Vortec V8 was factory rated at 255 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission, electronic dual-range transfer case, and a rear axle with 3.42:1 gearing. The truck came optioned from the factory with a heavy-duty transmission oil cooler. Additional underside photos are displayed in the gallery.
