This Ford Mustang SN95 1994-2004 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1997 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra coupe has been registered in California since new and is said to have remained in the same family until the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2021. The car is finished in Pacific Green over two-tone leather and is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 18” American Racing alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear spoiler, Cobra Daytona front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Mach 460 sound system with CD and cassette players. This SN95 Cobra shows 46k miles and is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.
The body is finished in Pacific Green and features a revised hood, fog lights, a rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and SVT Cobra-specific badging. The seller notes touched-up paint chips, dings, and swirls. Close-up photos of the paint and glass are provided in the image gallery below.
American Racing Special Edition 18” wheels wear 245/40 Delinte Desert Storm tires that show 2021 and 2022 date codes. The removed factory 17” alloy wheels included in the sale show corrosion and curb rash that can be viewed in the gallery. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The 2+2 cabin features aftermarket Cobra Daytona front seats upholstered in black and tan leather along with a two-tone dashboard and rear seats trimmed in Saddle leather. Amenities include power windows, door locks, and mirrors as well as air conditioning, cruise control, and a Mach 460 CD and cassette stereo. Wear on the driver’s seat outer bolster and bottom cushion can be seen in the gallery.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 46k miles.
The 4.6-liter Modular V8 was factory rated at 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The coolant reservoir and radiator fan control module were replaced and an oil change performed at 4Motion Tech Motor Works in San Jose, California, in preparation for the sale. The car passed a California emissions test in April 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in California.
